CR-TEC Engineering pneumatic actuators offer the simplest and most cost-effective solution to valve automation, when air is available. Pneumatic actuators typically use air pressure of 80 psig (5.5 bar) to move dual internal pistons creating rotary motion.

Actuators range from a miniature 72 lb-in torque size to a hefty 39,000 lb-in. CR-TEC pneumatic actuators have the following features:

Rack and Pinion Design – Best for reliability and long life. Rack and pinion actuators evenly produce the same torque over the full turn.
Rugged Anodized Aluminum Housings – We use black anodizing for appearance and corrosion resistance. Stainless steel housings are also available for highly corrosive areas.
Double Acting or Spring Return Types – Double Acting types require pressure to move in each direction. Spring Return actuators compress internal springs on the power stroke and return under spring force.
